World Environment Day on 5th June is the biggest international day for the Environment. It is led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually since 1973. This year's Environment day was hosted by Sweden with the theme "Only One Earth". This day is solely dedicated to focus on the world's togetherness in the direction creating the atmosphere conducive for peace, harmony, prosperity and health by saving our life and nature. We need to work towards making and adopting a lifestyle which should be pollution free and full of green land. For this, we need to take the steps of making this planet greener and more beautiful. Keeping all these in mind, our students of SJCHSS, celebrated 5th of June with much enthusiasm. They participated in various activities from their homes. Some planted saplings while some made posters with slogans. some even tried to clean their surroundings and garden. We were delighted to see such an active participation from them. Their love and concern for the environment reflected well from their actions as in the end, environment is the basic need for survival of us and for the generations ahead.
